Acadmic Profile

Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Singh is the Director, Research and Development, The Baba Jaswant Singh Trust-SIRO. He is also the Dean Research, Professor and Head, Endodontics at BJS Dental College, Hospital & Research Institute, Ludhiana.

He is a graduate of Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Patiala (Punjab) and did his MDS in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics from Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Nagpur (Maharashtra) in 2006. He has done his MBA in Health care and Hospital management , holds ‘Postgraduate diploma in clinical research’ from James Lind University, Switzerland and is a certified achiever of ‘Improving global health course’ from Harvard University. He has served as Principal at DAV Dental College, Solan and BJS Dental College, Ludhiana.

He was honoured with eight gold medals and six silver medals for holding first and second position in various subjects during graduation. His constant quest for knowledge and research has got him a ‘Patent from Govt. of India for inventing a new instrument “A communication system between dentist and patient” in field of dentistry; patent no. 234291’. His second patent entitled “An apparatus and a method to assist perforation of a dental dam sheet” has been published in Indian Patent Journal as well. He has Copyright and Trade name to his credit and is the inventor of ‘Natural Dent Tooth Paste’.

He is the author of text books titled ‘Essentials of Preclinical Conservative Dentistry’ (Wolter Kluwer Health) and ‘Innovative management of anxious dental patients’. To his credit are 77 National and International Publications till date. He is the Editor in chief of ‘International Journal of Health, Environment and Research’ and is on the editorial and review board of more than 20 national and international journals.

He has received advanced training on use of ‘Dental Operating Microscope’ in Endodontics from University of British Columbia, has pursued his teacher training programme on ‘Advanced Endodontics, USA’ For his advanced knowledge in the field of Endodontics he has been called as ‘Invited guest speaker’ in 84 National and International level conferences so far.
